Beam makes the official Reddit app look like an amateur high school project
Great app... My only suggestion so far would be to have configurable font sizes... Or respect the system font size settings..
Its a great Reddit client and I look forward to future features.
Honestly seems to be one of the only ones thats functional and good looking. The devs should set up a subreddit for the app for discussion updates suggestions and what not.
If I can make the fonts bigger and make it so clicking on someones name wouldnt go to their profile then this would be the perfect client for me. Hopefully those two things will be added to settings one say.
In the top 3 of the best Reddit clients on iOS. Beam has pretty much every features youd want in a mobile Reddit client. My only wish is that the future update will bring the ability to set font size (independent of iOS Dynamic Type).
Some bad moments
New update logged me out.. I had to buy the identity pack to be able to log into my reddit account ($.99). Now Im unable to log into my account. Nothing happens when I click on "login". Please fix!
I have always loved Beam, and I use it constantly. On the most recent update, however, the app crashes consistently when I try and view GIFs. A fix would be awesome, and I would be happy to come back and re-review the app.
After last update has completely stopped displaying all thumbnails on the front page, only shows gray links. Stopped handling images and now defaults to webview. Was the best client, now it has nothing on even the official client.
After you save a post, the app will jerk you back to the top of the page. If you have scrolled through quite a bit, you will lose all progress. A small thing but makes the app very hard to use for me.
Was great Reddit app but now the app refuses to load any subreddits always staying Im on the dark side of the moon.
The app is no longer signed into my Reddit account and says it is but I cannot access my subs or messages. It wants to charge me 99 cents to sign in since it thinks Im trying to use multiple accounts rather than just the one.
